TechShop - San Fran Bay Area. This place is geek heaven… It describes itself as a Gym for Geeks…. Basically what it is is a workshop with every single cool cutting edge engineering tool available to the industries and it’s open to the public for a membership fee of $100 a month.. And when I say cutting edge, I mean CUTTING EDGE. From 3D printers that literally print out fully functional machine parts(Gears and stuff, not sure what materials though), to laser cutting tools that take a print job and etches ur design into metal, glass or even ur fingernail(Not advisable)

The inability to run apps in the background(I.e palringo) while SMS-ing or calling can some times be frustrating especially if you have serveral conversations going on at the same time and palringo decides to sign you out when u get a call effectively ending your IM session.

I guess this is to prevent the memory of the iPhone from getting too full and slowing down the performance of the device, but there should be some exceptions at least.

Well, the state of the programs are usually saved when u close them, so maybe the app programmers can find a work around to the problem. Also, the apps available still lack the alot of the features of their pc counterparts that we have come to get used to… Like this wordpress app dosen’t allow me to moderate my comments or add links and images easily, hopefully these will be added in the near future.

The on screen key board is damn small, granted in some applications u can turn it into land scape mode and it becomes slight easier to type cause the buttons are more spaced out, but in the more essential ones - SMS, wordpress, notepad… - you are stuck with this.

Though it is frustrating hittig the wrong buttons, apple did include a fine feature that makes our typing a little easier. This will be featured in 10 things iLove #04.

The iPhone os has been made specially for the iPhone hardware, thus giving it the advantage of being streamlined and able to provide an excellent user experiance.

I’m not sure if it will get slower as I start to load in more programs and videos and what have you.. But so far it has been a minimally laggy experiance.

This is one well programed piece of art.

It seems like the only real cure so far for my recurring migraine is coffee and a playlist of songs I used to sing to on chapel… I suppose blogging and twittering on the bus isn’t helping things. Haha… But gosh this is addictive.

Hmm.. I’ll begin a series of #10 things I like about the iphone and for each positive point I will try and find a negative as well.. My 1st tech review for u =)..

Short post from my new toy… It really is all that I had hoped for.. Kudos to apple for making such an innovative product.

haha… getting my iPhone in 4 hours =D quite psyched about it, probably will be spending most of the night playing with the features and downloading apps that I hope will work… I’m kinda worried that it will require me to have an Apple Store Account - Which might be a bummer to get since I’m not in the US - But Lets be optimistic.

Hmm… optimism is hard to come by these days. haha… is it possible to a cynical optimist? Coz as much as I wish to believe in the goodness of people and the world, I still have a tampered view on things that people do and accept that they are intrincically flawed and will fail in some sense or another. I hope, yet I have given up in order to not be disappointed every few seconds in my short time on this planet.
