So here’s a quick post before I head out to get some coffee and brainstorm ideas =D Really looking forward to the Movie “Kickass“, which I’m sure my friends will like as well. If you haven’t seen the trailer, go check it out down below!

It’s based on the comic written by Mark Millar and illustrated by John Romita, Jr. I’ve heard very positive impressions of the comic and might just pick it up this holiday season. =D

Alright, time for me to make a move. I’ll probably be posting trailers and thoughts on upcoming/showing movies more often. Mostly, I choose those that interest myself and I think my friends would be interested in. Cheers!

So I’ve been doing a little bit of training, a little bit of summer school, a little bit of reading and a little bit of catching up.

It feels good to just curl up on my couch with a book(Angels and Demons). It’s been a while…

Oh and yes.. Season 1 of Gossip Girl down. The bitchy-ness is almost too much to take ><

Gossip Girl is an anonymous blogger who follows the complicated lives of New York’s Upper Class. The wild parties, inane excesses and lack of boundaries that the obscenely rich enjoy. It’s all about who you know and how deep your pockets are in this world. But under all the glamor and flashing lights, there are secrets and, strangely, vulnerable hearts that seek the one thing that money cannot buy….

At every plot twist, we get to see just how dysfunctional these families  are and how relationships that are built on shaky foundations of “trust” and sex end up crumbling under the lies and manipulations of one character or another. Well, there is only so much that a romantic can dream for right?

What really makes this show interesting is that there really is no one clear hero and antagonist.. Every character is a victim and a sinner in some form or another.. And Gossip Girl is right there to expose all the gritty details of every little sin.

Remind me why I watched this again?

The James Bond franchise has come from a gadget fetish galore(though, God damn I want a multi touch desk like M’s) to an incredibly gritty look at how hard trust is to come by in the (clandestine) world. With subterfuge, double agents, excellently choreographed and raw action scenes, Quantum shows what being James Bond is about. I have walked away from the past 2 Bond movies thinking about the plot and the characters a lot more than the past movies(truth be told, I have forgotten most of them).

Throughout the movie Bond is haunted by the events in Casino Royale, having trouble sleeping and struggling to uncover an enemy that is extreme adapt at keeping the shadows thickly wrapped around their operations. So adapt that they shut down all of his official resources.

The tale is full of characters with a cynical exterior but somehow managing to retain a little spark of light in their hearts.

I suggest you rewatch Casino Royale before catching Quantum of Solace or you’ll find yourself trying hard to remember who Vesper was. Oops. Spoiler =P

Bomb-diggi-bomb-di-dang-di-dang-diggi-diggi…

Chuck is a Stamford university drop out working at the Buymore store on the Nerd Herd. On his birthday he receives an email from his ex-roommate(Bryce) that contains a stream of images that are subconsciously embedded into his memory. Apart from the initial epic headache, he suddenly finds that he “flashes” when ever he sees something that triggers these images. Enter super agents Sarah and Casey, one a super hot CIA agent who dated and the other a trigger happy NSA agent who shot . They reveal that hat chuck has in his head is the Intersect - a supercomputer that held the collective intelligence of all the American clandestine operations. So until the intersect is rebuilt, Chuck has become the single most important Intelligence asset. The series chronicles what happens when you have a super geek, smokin’ hot chick and cold blooded assassin into a team.

The humor and action flow seamlessly with lots of props given to geek culture and cheesy slowmo effects whenever Sarah sensually makes hot dogs at the “weenerlicious” undercover of course. And with a catchy intro song like cobrastyle, well…

Season one is available in stores and I think it’s into it’s fifth or sixth episode for the second season so we’ll have to wait.

9 Crimes - Damien Rice

I’m extremely bored with what I am learning in school… Why? Kinda because I have what I want to do in mind and though the pace is fast, these are things I have studied before…

But not just that, I wish very much to host a show akin to tekzilla or buzz out loud locally, a podcast of topics that interest me as a job. Haha… I wonder if I’ll be able to find someone who shares the same passion as myself.

Argh… Nauseated…. Fucking migraine.. I better continue later.

I’m not sure if it’s caused by sub conscious stress but this insistant pain in my head is seriously affecting my ability to concentrate on whatever I’m doing… Sigh…

Wall-e was cute and very inspiring for a show with very little dialogue to begin with… The little robot’s sincerity really won over my heart through the show. It’s a great show for those out there looking for a feel good optimistic movie. But like a certain pheonix once said.. Life dosent work that way.

+1 to optimism.
