You

Written by: AnT - Posted in: 2Listen2, Ponderings -

You’re a part time lover and a full time friend
The monkey on you’re back is the latest trend
I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Here is the church and here is the steeple
We sure are cute for two ugly people
I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

We both have shiny happy fits of rage
I want more fans, you want more stage
I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

You are always trying to keep it real
I’m in love with how you feel
I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

I kiss you on the brain in the shadow of a train
I kiss you all starry eyed, my body’s swinging from side to side
I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

The pebbles forgive me, the trees forgive me
So why can’t, you forgive me?
I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Du du du du du du dudu
Du du du du du du dudu
I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Anyone else but you - Michael Cera and Ellen Page (cover of Moldy Peaches)

If I lay here.. If I just laid here. Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Maybe.. Maybe it seems impossible. Maybe it seems foolish. But that is how I feel and I refuse to deny it. Even if it is temporal, the memories of a single smile is more than enough.

Yes, it’s worth the pain.

39 degrees

Written by: AnT - Posted in: Rant, WoW -

I’m burning up
A fever that consumes
Hands trembling from the cold
A racing pulse
Got to Breathe

My vision blurs and suddenly it all comes into focus…

The only thing is…

All I see is darkness

I have been feeling oddly down of late. It’s probably because I’ve been confined in my room for the exam period(if not for T’s company I’d surely have gone mad)

Who am I? What have I done with my life that I feel proud of? What do I regret? What do I fear? What are my ambitions? Simple questions with not so simple answers.

I don’t want to be ordinary. I don’t want to be ordinary. I don’t want to be ordinary.

Fuck. I already am.

But for now, I just wanna eat sushi. No more fried chicken. Colonel sanders can stop contributing to my impending heart failure(such irony that yl called me to do a survey on fast food).

Blood and thunder

As the world wakes up to the reality of war, torture for information becomes a distasteful subject with no right answer. I’m not the kind of person who enjoys inflicting suffering and pain on another. But if the lives of my friends and loved ones depended on getting information out of an enemy I’d crush his spirit right there and then.

Is it humane? No. Is it neccessary? Yes. Like the Operative in Serenity said, I am a monster, there is no place for me in the better world I am making.

The quests in Wrath of the Lich King are gritty. You kill innocent women and children as a deathknight under the command of the Lich King, there is a quest where you run into an old friend who was captured and have to kill him. Even as a hero of the Horde in Northrend, your character will have to torture a captive for information to save the life of an ally.

I was taken aback by how… real… and in character blizzard made the quests. Before you snort and say that this is a game, think of WoW as a story. It’s a war. People are dying around you defending the world from the scourge and other forces that threaten life on Azeroth.

People squirmed when they did those quests and complained on certain venues(WoWinsider etc). But I for one am impressed by Blizzard having the balls to put it in. It’s almost a salute to the men and women who have the responsibility of extracting vital information through torture and how their hands are tied by people a thousand miles away being squimish about the torture.

Wrath’s story is bleak and bitter. It gives the feeling that you are walking on the thin line of Honor and Vengence. Everyone lost friends and family to the scourge, each soldier has a score to settle with Arthas. The question is are you in this cold waste land for Glory and Honor. Or are you here, just as Arthas was when he sailed to Northrend to hunt Mal’ganis…

Are you here for revenge?

The James Bond franchise has come from a gadget fetish galore(though, God damn I want a multi touch desk like M’s) to an incredibly gritty look at how hard trust is to come by in the (clandestine) world. With subterfuge, double agents, excellently choreographed and raw action scenes, Quantum shows what being James Bond is about. I have walked away from the past 2 Bond movies thinking about the plot and the characters a lot more than the past movies(truth be told, I have forgotten most of them).

Throughout the movie Bond is haunted by the events in Casino Royale, having trouble sleeping and struggling to uncover an enemy that is extreme adapt at keeping the shadows thickly wrapped around their operations. So adapt that they shut down all of his official resources.

The tale is full of characters with a cynical exterior but somehow managing to retain a little spark of light in their hearts.

I suggest you rewatch Casino Royale before catching Quantum of Solace or you’ll find yourself trying hard to remember who Vesper was. Oops. Spoiler =P

My style is the bomb-diggy…

Bomb-diggi-bomb-di-dang-di-dang-diggi-diggi…

Chuck is a Stamford university drop out working at the Buymore store on the Nerd Herd. On his birthday he receives an email from his ex-roommate(Bryce) that contains a stream of images that are subconsciously embedded into his memory. Apart from the initial epic headache, he suddenly finds that he “flashes” when ever he sees something that triggers these images. Enter super agents Sarah and Casey, one a super hot CIA agent who dated and the other a trigger happy NSA agent who shot . They reveal that hat chuck has in his head is the Intersect - a supercomputer that held the collective intelligence of all the American clandestine operations. So until the intersect is rebuilt, Chuck has become the single most important Intelligence asset. The series chronicles what happens when you have a super geek, smokin’ hot chick and cold blooded assassin into a team.

The humor and action flow seamlessly with lots of props given to geek culture and cheesy slowmo effects whenever Sarah sensually makes hot dogs at the “weenerlicious” undercover of course. And with a catchy intro song like cobrastyle, well…

Season one is available in stores and I think it’s into it’s fifth or sixth episode for the second season so we’ll have to wait.

Tongue Tied - Faber Drive

For a while I was terrified that I had disappointed you beyond any hope of salvaging what you might have felt for me. It’s always these moments when I get so tongue-tied I have no idea what to possibly say to make things better. And yes, I do believe in fairy tales…
